STORY

All he believes in is his own sword. He has no friends, no family, no home to return to. The lone swordsman Guts walks the lands torn by the Hundred Years War as a mercenary.
Vicious fighting has united the group in bonds of trust, but the ties between Griffith and Guts are now special. Eventually the Band of the Hawk is taken into the regular army of Midland, but this is only the first step toward the peak on which Griffith has set his sights. Guts, for his part, begins to doubt a life only wielding a sword, adopting Griffith’s dream as his own. But there is something that Guts does not yet know.
Boundless dreams have called down a terrible fate on both of them.
